U.S. women run to gold 4x100 relay at World Championships

Twanisha Terry Stormed home in the anchor leg to get a gold decoration for the USA in the womens' 4x100m transfer at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.

While the Jamaicans-who remember both the world 100m and 200m heroes for their positions had been hecaily tipped for the triumph, they could complete second as the US group conveyed a noteworthy win on home soil.

Third Place went to Germany with Great Britain completing 6th after a mid-race injury to Dina Asher-Smith.

The USA sped from the starting position, with Melissa Jefferson running the quickest parted of 11.35 over the first 100m.

She gave off to rising star Abby Steiner who outshone world record holder Elaine Thompson-Herah to keep her group in shaft position.

Jenna Prandini passed the twirly doo to Terry, the US were in a predominant position, leaving 200m big showdowns gold medallist Shericka Jackson with a mountain to jump on the last leg.
