The NASCAR industry reacts to the tragic Daytona accident.

Whenever serious accidents are discussed, Daytona International Speedway comes to mind.

With only 23 laps remaining in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced at Daytona.

The cause of the major pileup is still unknown, however Daniel Suarez's lack of composure while competing with Denny Hamlin for first position is suspected.

Only Austin Dillon, who was 16th when the incident occurred, was able to escape getting caught up in the mayhem that broke out in front of him.

After the collision, the red flag was raised to force all vehicles into pit lane, but Dillon was fortunate enough to dodge it and retake the lead.

The majority of the race was eliminated by a significant collision that happened with 23 laps remaining.
